Risk Disclosure
Version 2026-10-26.1
This disclosure is a draft, pending legal review. It is part of the Terms of Service. By using TradeAFK you accept the risks below. You can lose everything you deposit. This is a risk you are taking. None of it is financial advice. It is based on theory and consensus, and the results are your liability.
Not financial advice. Automated trading based on social consensus and theoretical models. You can lose all funds. Your risk.
Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
Nothing on TradeAFK is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, borrow, lend, or avoid any asset. Scores, copy signals, bot settings, allocations, and paper results are software outputs. TradeAFK is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or money transmitter. Checking the box does not create an advisory relationship.
Signals are consensus, news, and theory
Signals come from crypto-Twitter consensus, news, and theoretical or backtested models. A crowd agreeing, a headline, or a model that fit old prices is not evidence that the next trade will work. Consensus can be wrong, late, or already in the trade.
Past and paper results do not predict future results
Past results and paper results do not predict future results. A backtest can be fitted to history that will not repeat. A paper fill uses a quote and stays on the desk. Paper trading / simulated results are not cash you can withdraw, and they are not a forecast.
These assets can lose all value
Crypto, memecoins, stocks, DeFi lending, and yield products are highly volatile and can lose all value. A token can go to zero. A stock can halt or be wiped out. A lending market or a yield product can lose the deposit, stop paying, or become impossible to exit. There is no insured balance and no guaranteed yield.
Smart contracts, protocols, exchanges, oracles, and wallets
Smart-contract, protocol, exchange, oracle, and wallet risk sit on every path the app can touch. A contract can be buggy, upgraded, or drained. A protocol can change its rules. An exchange can halt, reject an order, or fail. An oracle can report a bad price. A wallet, signer, or key can be lost, compromised, or refuse to sign. None of those failures is within TradeAFK's control.
Automated trading can malfunction
Automated trading can malfunction or execute at bad prices. A bot can enter when you would not, size a position badly, miss a stop, double-count a signal, or keep running through a data outage. The price you see and the price you get can differ because of slippage, MEV, a stale quote, or a venue delay. You remain responsible for turning a bot on and for the orders it is allowed to send.
You trade at your own risk
You trade at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your decisions and your losses. Use only money you can afford to lose. If you cannot afford to lose the entire amount, do not deposit it and do not turn a bot or an allocation on.
No guarantees, assumption of risk, limitation of liability, and indemnification
There are no guarantees of profit, principal, yield, uptime, or fill price. You assume the risks in this disclosure by checking the box and by using the app. To the maximum extent the law allows, TradeAFK is not liable for trading losses, failed transactions, bad prices, or model error, and any remaining liability is capped as the Terms of Service describe. You agree to indemnify TradeAFK against claims that arise from your trades, your allocations, your taxes, and your breach of these terms.
Not an adviser, broker-dealer, or money transmitter
TradeAFK is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or money transmitter. We do not hold your assets as a custodian, match you to a counterparty as an exchange, or transmit money for you. Nothing in the app creates a fiduciary duty.
Comply with your local laws
You must comply with the laws that apply where you live and where you trade, including sanctions rules. Crypto, securities, lending, and money-transmission rules differ by country and can change. A feature that is available in the app may be illegal for you. You are responsible for that determination and for your own taxes. TradeAFK does not report your taxes for you and does not tell you what you owe.
Memecoins, thin markets, rug pulls, scams, and impersonation
Many names on the tape are memecoins or other tokens with almost no market depth. A pool can be emptied by one order. The price you see can be a print that nobody can trade again. A creator can remove liquidity, mint more supply, or abandon the token. Traders call that a rug pull, and the token can go to zero in a single block.
Scams travel with this market. Accounts impersonate projects, founders, exchanges, and TradeAFK. A reply, a link, or a ticker that looks familiar can be someone else. We do not review token creators, and we do not promise that a symbol is the asset you meant. Phishing pages and fake support ask for seed phrases and signatures. TradeAFK will not ask you for a seed phrase. Checking the domain and the address is your job.
Failed transactions and irreversible settlement
A transaction a chain confirms is final. We cannot reverse it, recall it, or put the assets back, even when the fill was a mistake, a stolen key, or a much worse price than the screen showed. A transaction can also fail, drop, or land in a later block. Failure can still spend a network fee. Sending assets to the wrong address, the wrong chain, or a contract that will not return them is your loss.
An order that waits for a dip, a price, or another condition is an attempt, not a promise. It can miss, fill only in part, or fill away from the level you set because the book moved, a feed lagged, or another actor reordered the transaction. Asking to cancel it may arrive after it has already fired.
Forward-looking statements
A projected rate, a backtest, a leaderboard, a paper profit-and-loss figure, and any sentence about what the book might do next are forward-looking statements. They use today's inputs. They are not indicative of future results, they are not a promise, and they are not advice. The figure can be stale the moment it is drawn. Past results, paper results, and backtested results are not a guide to the next result.
Consensus can be wrong or manipulated
Social and consensus signals can be wrong, late, paid, botted, or coordinated. A crowd can invent agreement. A source may already hold the position they promote, and they may sell it while a copy is still open. A model that reads posts will treat noise as an input. Following that input can put you on the wrong side of a trade. Wash trading and spoofed activity can paint a tape that never had a real buyer.
Bot errors and downtime
The bot, the website, a quote feed, an oracle, or a signer can be down, slow, or wrong. That includes scheduled work and failures we did not plan. Downtime can leave a position open, skip an exit, double-count a signal, or send an order after the price has already moved. We do not promise uptime, and we do not promise that a defect will be fixed before it costs you money. You are responsible for watching the book and for turning the bot off.
Fees, the 1% charge, and referral fees
TradeAFK charges 1% of notional on the entry and again on the exit. That charge is on the trade. It is not a share of a gain. A referrer is paid 10% of the TradeAFK fee earned on the people they refer. That share comes out of our fee and does not increase what you pay. Referral amounts can be withheld or changed, and they are not a wage or a yield.
Network fees, swap-route costs, price impact, slippage, perps funding, borrow, liquidation costs, and a card processor's charge are separate. They are set by someone else and can change with no notice from us. A quote in the app is an estimate of those costs, not a cap. You owe the costs of the trades you start.
Not a bank, and not insured
TradeAFK is not a bank and not a deposit account. Digital assets, paper balances, and anything shown as a result are not insured against loss. They are not protected by the FDIC, the SIPC, or any comparable scheme. A loss is not reimbursed.
Lending, yield, and stock-linked products
DeFi lending and yield products can pause withdrawals, book a bad debt, or liquidate collateral from an oracle print without asking you. A governance vote can change the rules after you deposit. A ranking by a quoted rate is not a promise that the rate continues. A higher quoted rate often means a higher chance of loss. A stock sleeve, or a token that claims to track a stock, is not the stock. You may have no vote, no dividend, and no claim on the company. The equity price on a screen can differ from the token price.
The list of risks is not complete
Blockchains, automated trading, and the venues around them are new. Risks that are not written here can still happen, including combinations of the ones above. Using TradeAFK means you accept that this disclosure cannot name every way you can lose money.
Volatility and total loss
Crypto prices move fast, gap, and can go to zero. A paper fill is not a live fill. Past paper results, including anything on a leaderboard, are not a forecast. There is no promise of profit.
Leverage and liquidation
Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. A position can be liquidated. When that happens, the margin backing it can be lost in full. A stop does not guarantee a fill at the stop price. Funding, borrow cost, and a gap through the stop can all make the result worse than the last price you saw.
Automated and algorithmic trading
Bots and scoring rules can be wrong. They can enter when you would not, size a position badly, miss a stop, double-count a signal, or keep running through a data outage. Software bugs, bad configuration, and stale inputs are part of this risk. You remain responsible for turning a bot on and for the orders it is allowed to send.
Signals and copy trading
A signal source may already hold the position they promote, and they may sell it while a copy is still open. Their interests can conflict with yours. Signals can lag, arrive incomplete, or describe a market that has already moved. Copying a wallet or a post is not the same as sharing that person's entry price, size, or exit. A source can be wrong, compromised, or joking. You can lose money following a signal that looked clear.
Slippage, MEV, and outages
The price you see and the price you get can differ. On a public chain, other actors can reorder or sandwich a transaction. Networks stall, RPCs time out, and a venue can reject or delay an order. During an outage you may be unable to exit.
Smart contracts, oracles, and stablecoins
Smart contracts can contain bugs, be upgraded, or be drained. An oracle can report a bad price and trigger a liquidation or a bad fill. A stablecoin can depeg, so a unit you treated as a dollar is not a dollar. None of those failures is within TradeAFK's control.
Third-party protocols
TradeAFK depends on systems we do not operate. Those include Solana, Jupiter, perpetual venues, Privy, and the wallet you use, and also Kamino, Alpaca, and X. Their outages, rule changes, fee changes, quotes, and security incidents can block a deposit, a signature, or a trade, or can cost you assets. Their terms apply to your use of them. We are not their agent, and we are not responsible for what they do or fail to do.
Regulation and tax
Crypto rules change, and they differ by country. A feature that is available today may become restricted. You are responsible for whether your trading is legal where you live, including under sanctions rules. You are also responsible for your own taxes. TradeAFK does not report your taxes for you and does not tell you what you owe.
Paper mode is not a live trade
A paper fill uses a quote and stays on the desk. It does not move coins. Live mode can. A paper profit is not money you can withdraw. There is no guarantee of returns in either mode. The bot can lose money.
You can stop it
You can stop the bot or use the kill switch at any time. New entries stop. A flatten sells what the bot still holds, at the price the market will actually give, which can be worse than the last price on screen. Stopping the bot does not cancel a withdrawal that you already confirmed, and it does not recover a loss that already settled.
Withdrawals
Sending assets to another address is a withdrawal, not a trade. On live it waits for an email confirm that shows the exact amount and destination. A link that is only opened is not an approval. Network fees still apply. An email approval does not make the destination safe, and it does not insure the transfer.
No one is watching the position for you
TradeAFK does not owe you a duty to monitor, hedge, or exit a position. Keys stay with you. If you lose a key, we cannot restore it. Read the Terms of Service before you deposit, turn a bot on, or trade.
